I have always done woodworking, but it wasn't until 2013 that a made the move to open an Etsy shop and beginning making hardwood items for others. I worked most of my life in the chemical industry but in 2013 my place of employee closed down facilities here in Illinois and eventually dozed the building. I bought a 4' x 8' CNC machine and opened Custom Woodworking and CNC. In time the CNC work just did not come while traditional woodworking increased. I sold the CNC an expanded what I do now.
I am officially retired from working for others and now work for my customers. When I am not shedding sawdust, I spend time with my wife of 48 years, two sons and one daughter and spoiling my ten grandkids.
